Did you know that Velcro was inspired by the hooked barbs of thistle and a gecko’s grip inspired NASA to replicate it to improve space exploration? Some of humankind’s biggest inventions and one’s we take for granted come from animals. Andre Copeland of the Brookfield Zoo will discuss these and many more inventions that have been inspired by Mother Nature.

This event is part of the Brookfield Reads! community reading initiative.
